Gameslop

Privacy policy

Last updated November 2, 2026

Gameslop lets you describe a game, play it, and post it for others to play. This page explains what that involves.

What we collect

Your account. You get an account with a generated handle the first time you use Gameslop, without signing up. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we also get an identifier for you from them, along with the email address and name they share. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your email.

What you make and do. Your game descriptions, the games and art made from them, captions, comments, likes, follows, blocks and reports. We also keep which games you've played, your scores, and the recordings of your runs we use to check those scores.

Technical information. We use your IP address to limit abuse, such as too many sign-ins from one place. Our hosting providers may also log it, along with your browser or device details, when you connect.

Purchases. If you buy credits, we keep your credit balance and a record of the purchase. Stripe handles checkout, payment details and subscription management.

What others can see

Your handle, bio, posted games, comments, scores and follower counts are public. Other people can also play and remix games you post. Your email address isn't shown to anyone.

How we use it

We use this information to run Gameslop: making your games, showing the feed and leaderboards, keeping you signed in, checking that scores are real, reviewing reports, and limiting abuse. We don't sell your information, show ads, or use analytics or advertising trackers.

Who handles it for us

These companies process information so that Gameslop can run:

  • Google (Gemini) receives your game descriptions, games, captions and comments, to make games and art and to check content against our rules.
  • Cloudflare carries traffic to the site and app, and stores art and games.
  • Google Cloud runs our server.
  • Neon hosts our database.
  • Google and Apple handle sign-in, if you choose to use it.
  • Stripe handles payments and subscriptions if you buy credits.

What's stored on your device

The website keeps your session and settings, such as sound, in your browser's local storage. It sets a cookie to remember that you've seen the welcome page, and another to finish signing in. The iOS app keeps your session in the device's keychain, and saved game progress on the device.

Deleting your information

You can delete your account from your profile, on the website or in the iOS app. You can also delete your own comments at any time. If you can't get to your account, email contact@gameslop.co.

We keep your information until you delete it or ask us to. Copies can remain in our backups after that.

Children

Gameslop isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes and questions

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. For questions or requests about your information, email contact@gameslop.co.
